Response: The gas industry took a toll on the whole country when Russia invaded Ukraine, which means that the automotive industry has changed as well. Due to the gas prices rising over $4 a gallon, consumers are beginning to question on if they want to invest in an electric car. That event took an unexpected toll. More and more automotive companies are beginning to change their gas running cars to electric and it is not only because of the gas prices, but also for sustainability. Companies such as Ford, Nissan, BMW, and so much more are making the transition. In fact, President Joe Biden has set an aggressive target of having 50% of new automobile sales be electric, fuel cell, or hybrid electric cars by 2030. This is the perfect opportunity for marketers to market electric cars, however I think if they are trying to market new gas running cars consumers can begin to question if they should even buy one. In my personal opinion, I think that not many people can afford electric cars at the moment, due to some people still struggling with the pandemic
