I am currently working on several projects related to social determinants of health. One area of concern is obesity and healthy eating. Healthy eating sounds like a simple solution, right? However, my team repeatedly hears that it is costly to eat healthily. Many people struggle financially. The healthier the foods, the more expensive the foods are. Junk foods are the least costly. So, people migrate to these foods because they are affordable. This seems upside down. Have you come across any ideas to help individuals in underserved communities?
