I am working on my final project for a statistics course and this is the dataset I am working with:

This data was obtained from NIH-sponsored SEER Program (Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program).

Sex = biological sex (Female or Male)

Race.Ethnicity = Race/ethnicity categories (Asian, Black, Hispanic, Native, White (hispanic), White (not hispanic))

Age = Age category (0-14, 15-39, 40-64, 65-74, 75+)

Year = Year data was collected

Incidence = Number of new cases per 100,000 people

Research Questions to Choose From (pick 2):

1. Is there a sex-dependent effect on incidence?

2. Is there a race/ethnicity dependent effect on incidence?

3. Is there an age-related effect on incidence?

4. Does the incidence rate of cancer change across the years?

I am choosing to do questions 1 and 3. What type of test would I use (i.e. ANOVA, t test, chi square, correlation, and regression) and why?

Thank you
