I am writing a application to the Summer program to the academies at Harvard and te question is describe a time in your life when you took a risk and what did you learn from it

This is my response: Everyone takes a risk throughout lifefrom proposing, driving the extra mile when you're on empty, joining a new club, to saying hello to a stranger. At a young age, most of my risks happened in high school, at the center of my friend group. One of the biggest risks I've ever taken was standing up to my friend when she was being unkind to our peers. She had begun to treat others with a sharpness and disregard that left people feeling small and hurt. While others whispered about her behavior behind her back, I knew I had to take a stand. Doing nothing would have made me just as guilty. I chose to confront her, not out of anger but out of a sense of responsibility. I told her that her actions were unacceptable and she had to make amends. I clarified that I would involve the deans to ensure accountability if things didn't change. Challenging someone I cared about wasn't easy, but I refused to let fear dictate my principles. Ultimately, this moment wasn't just about defending others but about choosing courage over comfort. True leadership means standing up, even when it's risky, even if it costs me a friendship.

What I would like: improve it to make it more personable but also something that would make me stand out but also keep it to about under two-hundred words
