I chose this scenario because I think it would be interesting to play out the situation. I don't necessarily think this type of conflict resolution is the best for this scenario because Ken is already very competitive in nature, and to be competitive in return I think would cause a lot of tension between the leader and Ken, but also within the whole group. The others are already annoyed and tired of Ken's behavior, but then to have their leader practically participating in the behavior by trying to challenge Ken in return, would start to lower morale and even cause some of the group to quit and walk away from the project. Overall I believe that this type of conflict resolution would start a revolving door of competition between you and Ken, but ultimately nothing would get done for the project or they would immediately go over budget in their determination to outdo one another. While some ideas may come out of it that might work better due to using the maximum effort to handle the project, I don't think it would be worth the hit the rest of the team would feel with having two very competitive people taking over all the roles. In your responses to at least two classmates posts, suggest a hypothetical challenge to your classmates preferred response to one of the scenarios. Consider framing your response using the following questions, or create a challenge of your own: Would all affectedinterested parties involved agree, or how might some individuals oppose the decisionmaker? What obstacles might arise when implementing the suggested resolution? Please do your best to address the challenges your classmates present to you.
