I have a 10-meter-long HE450B beam made of S355 steel, intended to function as a lifting yoke. It will carry 36 tons on points (B, D, F) in one load case and 27 tons on points (C, D, E) in another load case. For the 36 tonn, F_y= f_x is 188,3 kN. For the 27 tonn, F_y = F_x =144,2kN And for the I need to design lifting lugs and brackets suitable for this setup. Can you help with fracture calculations and weld sizing for the brackets and lifting lugs? I have the dimensons for the brackets. Please let me know if there are anything needed.
