I learned that 'Modeling' is finding the patterns of data. In Crisp$-$DM Modeling process, there are Predictive and Descriptive DM tasks. But, Descriptive data mining task, for example, clustering analysis doesn't look like finding patterns of data. It looks like just visualizing data. Other Descriptive tasks also do$.$ Are there another meaning of 'Model'? Or only visualizing data also means finding patterns out?
