Question: I made an essay on Farhad Manjoo's article I can't stop wondering what's going on inside my cat's head head I'm trying to improve

I made an essay on Farhad Manjoo's article " I can't stop wondering what's going on inside my cat's head head" I'm trying to improve my essay and can someone correct my essay. In the essay i am trying too

1) give a good opening paragraph

2) give my own answer why I think animals have a conscious and including evidence from Manjoos article

3) I'm trying to explain why Manjoos 2 questions are important " do animals have a conscious?" and "can computers have a conscious?"

except : I've I have realized that it come off more as a summary rather than asking the questions.

My essay:

Based on Manjoo's article he has a lot of questions states them based off the topics he is concentrating on, which are cats and computers. He asks us them same questions everybody thinks about occasionally of how somebody else point of view may be like. He addresses how he would like to be inside the mind of a cat and know what they might be thinking about, just like a how a lot of us occasionally want to know more about somebody. Sometimes everybody's bored with their lives and want to know how other people or creatures think about life and how those people can handle everything and make it look so easy. Are cats and computers able to think?

Manjoo's viewing if cats have their own consciousness is understandable since he makes good points saying that cats don't need humans to survive where he mentions that cats are like some type of aliens and that they are not human enough. He compares cats to dogs on how they are very different, he has mentioned that dogs have lived with humans for so many years that they evolved on how to read human body language to induce in our affection. He briefly mentions on his two cats and their behaviors that they are not afraid to go anywhere and explore. He tries to define consciousness and says that it is a tough topic to explain. He goes back to his kittens on how they come running when he opens a can of food, he gets angry with some author named Desecrates who says his cats just act on instinct. Manjoo quickly takes town Desecrates by providing evidence that also nonmammals besides having different brain structures also have a type of consciousness as seen by a group of neuroscientists study in 2012. Manjoo claims that the neuroscientists wrote that unique consciousness can be found in "nonhuman animals, including all mammals and birds, and many other

creatures, including octopuses." This is an important question to be viewed at and investigated more often because animals might have their consciousness and their own thinking.

Manjoo states that wild animals are often compared to machines that don't have any thinking or feeling in them and just react. Manjoo brings up that now tasks that are from humans are given too machines. Manjoo says how engineers who build A. I's can't even fully understand how they work and what the process A. I's take. Manjoo states that we are giving them a lot of power and they can easily overtake us in the future by quoting "a conscious A.I can go full Terminator on us". Manjoo states that machines having a conscious may be absurd now, but later it can be huge problem for society.

When looking at the question about machines I think about movies that take place in the future rather than the present seen it is impacted society in the film whether negatively or positively. My answer to if a computer can be conscious in the future, I would have to say yes you see for now we have control over them, but as Manjoo said earlier that even the most skilled engineers don't understand A.I s. My evidence is that people in society today are having their jobs taken away by machines that can resolves more problems that what a physical worker can do. Take example from some time in I think the 90s the best rated chess player in the world lost to a machine in front of thousands of people. If that doesn't scream that machines can overtake us and doesn't convince you then I don't know what will. Humans need to stay on top of machines to make sure that those machines can't get out of our control.
