I need a Matlab program or script that will accept a total dollar amount and employees with various rates and will return me the optimum spending plan. The background to this is that I always have issues when closing out a line item with dollars remaining. I would like to get this as close to zero as possible without going over. The inputs can be accepted as a file or a gui and output can be output as a file or gui. We only charge on .5 hour increments.
