Assignment 2: Cloud Applications

Cloud applications allow users to access common office software and other applications in an online setting. The cloud application is hosted on a server and can be accessed by users from any device on which they connect to the Internet.

Compose a 1 2-page paper in which you compare a cloud application with a similarly purposed local application for a desktop or other personal device.

In your paper, you should address aspects such as accessibility (off-line as well as online), security, and reliability in addition to comparing functional aspects of the applications. Be sure that your paper addresses both positive and negative aspects of both environments, cloud and local desktop. Justify why each aspect is a positive or negative.
