In my house, we have three bins that we use for trash. One is actual trash that I set out every week to be picked up, but we also have a recycling bin that I take to a community dumpster down the road because the trash company that we use does not accept recycling. We also have a compost bin that we use for food scraps such as celery, lettuce, and potatoes. Once we have broken down the food, we use the compost for our garden or flower beds.
