Specifically, the psychiatrist wants to measure whether a new program helps decrease feelings of chronic pain in the short-term. She measures children's self-reports of pain levels before treatment on a standardized scale with a range of 0-10, with 10 being the most severe. She then administers the new program, and measures children's pain levels after treatment. The data are contained in the table below.
