Project Topic Proposal Throughout the semester your will be working on a programming project for homework. The project is split into 3 phases. You will get more information on the phases in the coming weeks. Think about what you could do with DATA, CALCULATIONS and LOGIC. Think about this as an application program you are creating, that some group of people will use. It must solve some "problem". Project Topic: Each student will choose a different topic to use for their programming project. You will submit your topic here. Choose a topic in which you have an interest. Really, the project can be done on just about any topic. If you have trouble choosing a topic, come see me and I will help you. NOTE: You cannot do money exchange apps or a standard calculator. Please include these sections in your proposal. ITP120 Project Proposal TOPIC: Explain the topic you wish to work on along with a brief explanation (1-2 paragraphs). For example. "The topic I propose to work on for the semester is Elite Travel. I would like to include vacation destinations and travel expenses for luxury vacations as part of this project. The purpose of this application program will be to sell vacation packages. The user is anyone interested in upscale travel." PURPOSE: What is the purpose or this program? COMPONENTS: Some of the possible capabilities that I would like to include in my project are listed here. - A travel calculator to determine total trip expenses based on the customer's choices - Discounts for returning customers - A list of trips that are "on sale" along with prices and images - Average temperatures in popular cites - A points program for retuming customers - A currency converter for foreign exchanges - A package of travel document services (passports, TSA and GlobalEntry IDs) - Verification logic for customers who are logging into our portal
