Case Study The Youth Recreation & Sport Center Board of Directors are trying to determine whether or not to manage the food and beverage concession in-house or to outsource the service to an outside vendor. Many of the Board Member see this as a great revenue opportunity and think it would be more profitable if it were operated internally. However, another group feels it would be more profitable and less of a liability to have the operation outsourced to an outside vendor. Yet another group feels that local service clubs could be offered the opportunity to operate the food and beverage concessions allowing the service organization to make some money for their projects and the Board to make some money as well as support the greater community.
