There are two types of controls general control and application controls. The general controls are the basic controls that are that are used in IT systems such as applications, operating system, dats systems and IT infrastructure. The application or program controls are performed automatically by each system that will ensure complete and accurate processing by data from input through output.

Business control system consists of procedures and processes, that will help an organisation to achieve its goal and objectives. The IT controls in an organisation is very crucial thing because, it helps to identify errors and deviation from standards so that effective actions can be taken to achieve goals.Three types of business controls are Visual controls, procedural controls and embedded controls. Visual controls includes check lists, score cards, budgets etc . Procedural controls includes two unrelated parties include in dealing with money.Embedded controls are controls work without having someone to remember to do something.Financial control is one of the example in a business control.
