I think an external factor that has affected almost all industries in the world currently is the current pandemic that we have been in for the last 18 month. It has affected some industries such as the technology sector in very positive ways with mobile computer sales increasing, cloud services increasing, and eCommerce experiencing 10 years of projected growth in a matter of 3 months (Mathradas, 2020). There is also many industries that have experienced both negative and positive affects of the pandemic, such as the internet service providers who initially experienced pains in the over utilization of its infrastructure initially, and then the advantages of users such as myself increasing internet service packages to faster speeds and unlimited data usage.
