The purpose of this assignment is to learn and apply techniques of on$-$page SEO techniques to prepare for your portfolio website which will enhance its search engine optimization.

INSTRUCTIONS

Research

Consider the content you are going to include on your portfolio website. Using one of the tools discussed in lecture, complete some keyword research. Think about the keywords that will be relevant to your website content. Think about how people will use Google when thinking about the skills you possess and the career direction you hope to take.

Select Keywords

Select one primary keyword and three secondary keywords. Consider the competition and how many other sites are already ranking for these words. You should include the search volume and competition levels.

Title Tag

Write a title tag statement $(50-60$ characters$)$ for each keyword.

Meta Description

Create a compelling meta description that includes the keywords you have identified $(150-160$ characters$)$

Headers

Write three main headlines that use SEO concepts and include your primary keyword.

Write two subheaders that use SEO concepts, for each of your secondary keywords.

Body Content

Write an introductory paragraph for your portfolio website that integrates primary and secondary keywords naturally into the copy. The content should be valuable, relevant, informative and well$-$structured. Language choice should be appropriate for your intended audience.

Linking

Consider your portfolio website and the content you plan to include.

Make a list of at least $5$ links you will be able to include in the content of your site. Include your justification for choosing these links and describe how they will improve your on$-$page SEO.

Visual Storytelling

Using UnSplash, Pexels of an AI image generator, choose an image you could use for your website. Include the image in the submission. Under the image include the following: Alternative text, description and caption. Make sure you are considering your keywords.
