1. Identify and discuss three components of a high quality program you feel are most important and explain why these are important to you. Keep in mind that California's Child Care Licensing requires the minimum standard and not high quality. Of course licensing would like high-quality, but the agency wants at least the minimum standard so children are safe. When you discuss the components important to you think of ways to improve on the basic requirements of licensing. For example: Safety is a must! You cannot get approved to open your school without satisfying the minimum requirements for safety. So, if you are considering using this as a component, you need to tell us how that component would look if it is above the basic requirement.
