Identify the areas that you have power, due to dominant group membership Pick any ONE component of the ADDRESSING model where you have membership in the dominant group and answer the following questions: 1. Research and discuss a few ways in which this group membership makes it easier for you in society than someone who is not in that group. You must use and cite credible sources 2. Research and discuss a few ways in which the non-dominant people on this component of the model face challenges in society. You must use and cite credible sources 3. Identify two specific actionable ways that you can make yourself more familiar with advantages of your dominant group membership/familiarize yourself with the challenges of the non-dominant group/a way you can mitigate challenges on an individual level. e.g I will attend a webinar titled 'ableism' on date 1234 that will talk about Disability Justice I will look up 'this resource' (identify the resource) to learn about the right vocabulary to use, or I will listen to a podcast about.......++ I will read this article (name) about racial gap in education in the USA, I will watch this(name) documentary + I will read this article (name) on inequity in healthcare for people of color. 4.
