You are given a model of an Airport Terminal Security Process where passengers enter for a Document Check and then are either sent to an Advanced Imaging Technology $($AIT$)$ station for screening or to a Transportation Safety Administration $($TSA$)$ PreCheck station for a less intrusive screen. As the model is currently configured, $90\%$ of the passengers go to the AIT and $10\%$ of them go to the Precheck.

The Document Check Station and the AIT station have an initial capacity of $3,$ and the PreCheck a capacity of $1.$ Passengers arrive at a rate of $10$ per minute, The DocumentCheck and PreCheck servers have a Random Triangular Distribution of $(\mathrm{.}1,\mathrm{.}2,3)$ and the AIT twice as long.

$1.$ Conduct an experiment with the current model, changing as you feel appropriate interarrival times, service times, and$/$or service capacities. Pick at least two input variables and two response variables and run at least three different scenarios. Provide your Design of Experiment Factors and corresponding results as SMORE plots and Pivot tables and briefly interpret your results $-$ what effects did you expect from the varied input factors and how did the actual results compare to your expectations?

$2.$ Modify the model to add another, "pat down" station for passengers who fail the AIT station. Change the path logic to use a sequence table to appropriately route three different types of passengers, $10\%$ PreCheckOnly, $80\%$ AITOnly, and $10\%$ AITPatDown. Represent each of the different entity types with a different symbol and turn in your model.

$3.$ Run an experiment where you examine $3$ different scenarios varying the percentages of different passenger types and the server capacities. As in Problem $1,$ provide your Design of Experiment Factors and corresponding results as SMORE plots and Pivot tables and briefly interpret your results $-$ what effects did you expect from the varied input factors and how did the actual results compare to your

expectations?
