I'm looking at the problem 4P in the book An Introduction to Management Science. The answer is posted on this site, but the section with the constraints has the wrong screenshot. It is showing the answer to another problem.
The following data is provided:
| Bean | Cost Per Pound | Available Pounds |
| 1 | $0.50 | 500 |
| 2 | $0.70 | 600 |
| 3 | $0.45 | 400 |
As well as the additional information:
| Bean | Aroma Rating | Taste Rating |
| 1 | 75 | 86 |
| 2 | 85 | 88 |
| 3 | 60 | 75 |
x1 = # of pounds of coffee bean 1
x2 = # of pounds of coffee bean 2
x3 = # of pounds of coffee bean 3
With objective function:
Minimize Cost Z = .5x1 + .7x2 +.45x3
So far the constraints I have are:
x1 + x2 + x3 = 1000
x1 <= 500
x2 <= 600
x3 <= 400
However, I cannot figure out the constraints to make the aroma blend at least a 75 rate;
And the taste rating at least an 80.
Any help is appreciated!
