I'm trying to do a calculation in a java class public accessor method for a conversion from Fahrenheit to Celsius but when i run the other class program it doesnt work

ex class1

public double celciusConv( ){

return (inputTemp-32)*(5/9); }

this is the part of my prgram I'm talking about: when i run it it returns zero but when i remove the parentheses from the equation it does calculate but gives the wrong value but obviously i need the parentheses to perform the correct calculation. what is wrong
