Assignment Purpose

The purpose of this assignment is to evaluate the relationships among social, environmental, and economic value creation for Nike.

Directions

Design an Impact Statement for a product.

Part 1: What is it?

• Choose a product.
• Research how your chosen product is used by people.
  • Design a graphic to describe to a person which has never seen or heard of the product.
• Research how your chosen product is made. (You can query "how is a [simple product] manufactured?"

• Create a flow chart of the manufacturing process

• Discussion Questions

• How does it help the economy?
• What value does it bring to people?
• What effect does it have on the environment?
• How your selected product does good and/or harms people, planet, profit (social, environmental, economic responsibility).

Part 2 As an entrepreneurial leader, what would you try to change?

• Design an Impact Statement
  • State the issue or problem (State why something is a problem.)
  • State the action. (Describe how your work will help to resolve the problem.)
  • State the impact (What is the payoff or benefit of the action?
  • State who is responsible.
