If an organization is striving to yield a level of performance that exceeds its expectations, transformational leadership is going to be more effective than transactional leadership. If leaders focus on people, and if leaders serve as role models and provide employees with the tools and resources required to succeed, this is probably a better style compared to leaders who manage their employees based on certain performance expectations where leaders focus on whether the employee is doing the job correctly and intervening to correct employee performance along the way.
