In Module 1 you read about qualitative and quantitative variables and about the different levels of measurement (nominal, ordinal, interval, and ratio). In the past at RTC we use to assign letter grades A, B, C, D, and F. Now at RTC we use decimal values (4.0, 3.9, 3.8, ...1.2, 1.1, 1.0, 0.0) to assign grades. Please see course syllabus for complete list of possible decimal grades. With that, what level of measurement is a current RTC decimal course grade? Don't be too hasty in replying to this discussion. Do a little searching around the internet to see what others think. Do a google search for "levels of measurement for course grade" and see what comes up. In your response you must give reasons for the level of measurement you picked. If you found something on another website that you like, don't just "copy and paste" from that website -- you need to put it in your own words.
