In most all business success stories, the leader has developed a mission (why we are doing what we are doing), a vision (where we are going), and a goal statement (how we are going to get there).

You are probably familiar with many corporate missions/vision/goal statements - can you think of any?

But as leaders, we also need to develop and completely internalize our own mission and vision. If you don't know where you are going and how you are going to get there, how do you expect people to follow?
