In order to maintain a strong base at your workplace, you must always be professional and have a strong work ethic in order to become successful. I have experienced watching many people where I have worked that have gotten their position and then very quickly be relaxed/lazy as time passes on. Common work practices tend to be skipped or forgotten, completed work seems rushed or with no effort, and respect seems to deteriorate around fellow peers. I had a life changing moment that helped me open my eyes where an accounting manager at my work place was always smiling, friendly, and willing to help train others. Over time this person sadly started getting involved with some personal drama with another peer which caused them to become angry and would shut everyone out. This impacted not only the peer who first was involved with this dram but it effected everyone else as things needed from the accounting manager would not be done properly or ignored on purpose.
