In plain language, review this case study below with list of documents and write a submission letter to include in the client application for permanent resident
Case Study:
Juliano Pereira, a 31-year-old Brazilian national, currently works full-time as an Aquaculture Technician at Grieg Seafoods. He has been working there full-time since May 1, 2023, after completing a paid internship during the final term of his studies January-April 2023.
Mr. Pereira resides in Campbell River and Victoria, BC. He works 8 days onsite in Campbell River and then has 6 days off in Victoria.
Mr. Pereira lives in BC with his common-law partner, Hui Chen and her 3-year-old daughter. Hui Chen shares custody of her daughter with her ex-boyfriend and her daughter was born in Canada.
Hui Chen came to Canada on an academic exchange in 2021 working for a year as a Teaching Assistant and is now completing her PhD in Environmental Studies at the University of Victoria. The couple has been living together since February 2023.
Mr. Pereira first came to BC in 2021 as a student to pursue a Diploma in Environmental Technology at Camosun College. He completed his program in April 2023 and applied for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), which is valid until June 2026.
Prior to coming to Canada, Mr. Pereira worked as a Lab technologist for 4 years in Brazil. Thus far, he has been unable to reach his former employer to obtain an employment reference letter and asks that you exclude this work experience from his PR application.
Mr. Pereira submitted an express entry profile and is eligible as a candidate under Canadian Experience Class. He then applied to the BC Provincial Nominee Program. He recently received his BC nomination, boosting his CRS by 600 points and last week he received an invitation to apply (ITA) as a Provincial Nominee candidate.
In your meeting with him last week, Mr. Pereira shares that if Hui Chen could get full custody of her daughter, he is interested in moving to Newfoundland to work with his sister, who needs help with her new fish exporting business.
