Define the relation $R$ on $NN$ saying that $xRy$ if and only if the binary representations of $x$ and $y$ have the same number of ones. For example, $15R23$ since $15$ in binary

is $1111$ and $23$ in binary is $10111,$ which both have four ones.

Show that $R$ is an equivalence relation.
