In recent years, fear has increased that terrorists may use planning and protection data and information to target people or places. Many organizations are removing information that was easily accessible on the web and requiring a complex process to gain access to it. Suggestions have been made to revoke citizen access to community chemical information. Some have even suggested we go as far as removing placards from vehicles carrying hazmats. Even in private companies, once easily distributable and accessible preparedness information has been removed from access and returned to storage in locked file cabinets.
