Traditional: 32.4% of market sales dollars. Traditional customers seek proven products using current technology; Low End: 31.1% of market sales. Low End customers seek proven products, are indifferent to technological sophistication, and are price motivated; High End: 15.3% of market sales. High End customers seek cutting-edge technology in both size and performance; Performance: 10.4% of market sales. Performance customers seek high reliability, advanced technology products, emphasizing high performance; Size: 10.8% of market sales. Size customers seek advanced technology products that focus on small size.

Using the concepts on the external environment from Chapter 2 of the course text, analyze how and why factors in the external environment at the general and industry levels contribute to the initial location and varied movement of the 5 product segments described in the Perceptual Map.

Do not describe the 5 sensor segments nor list the factors found in the external environment as this information is already known. Using the table below, analyze if, why, and how conditions in the general environment affect the behavior of the different sensor market segments of the Capstone simulation. Center your analysis on the events noted in the table. Your success in the simulation will be impeded if you do not understand the differences between each sensor market and the general environmental factors that influence these differences. So that you do not lose your work, it might be useful to construct your analysis in Word and then copy/paste in the table in case your session times out or is otherwise interrupted.
