Question:
In the Mitofsky National Survey on Coronavirus in Mexico, carried out in November, 1,000 Mexicans over 18 years of age with smart mobile devices with internet access were asked about different perceptions about Covid-19. The results of the survey show that 63.5% of those under 30 years of age answered that they would like to be tested for Covid-19, while, among those over 30, 61.2% answered that they would like to be tested. Assuming that 25% of the respondents are under 30 years of age and 75% are over 30 years:
a) State the null hypothesis such that rejecting it would support the hypothesis that the proportion of those under 30 years of age who would like to take a test is greater than the proportion of those aged 30 and over.
b) Calculate the test statistic.
c) At a significance level of 5%, what is concluded? (Don't forget to interpret the results)
