Observe a Motion for Summary Judgment or a Motion to Dismiss in a federal court. Go to uscourts.gov; Locate "Court Records" in the top navigation banner of the website and click on it; Click "Access to Court Proceedings' Under "Access to Court Proceedings" in the menu on the left, locate "Remote Public Access to Proceedings" and click on it; Find "View available court videos and terms of the pilot" under "Camera in Courts Pilot." Under the "Procedural Posture" column, find a "Motion for Summary Judgment" or "Motion to Dismiss." Choose a case from the list that is of interest to you and click the title to open the video. Observe a minimum of 30 minutes of the proceeding. Analyze what you observed in the hearing. Include the name of the case; and, Whether it was a Motion for Summary Judgment or a Motion to Dismiss hearing.
