In this final assignment, you will reflect on the collaboration and teamwork skills you learned in this course and on skills for which you have room for improvement. Then, you will create an action plan to improve one skill and a practice script to promote your collaboration and teamwork skills to a potential employer.

Step 1. Research and Select Research and select a dream job requiring collaboration and teamwork skills. Look for and list current postings and job descriptions. Pay special attention to the collaboration and teamwork skills the employer expects of a prospective employee in this position. Make note of skills representing your strength areas, and target one skill you would like to improve. As an introduction, write 1-2 paragraphs on the dream job, your strength skills, and the skill for improvement.

Step 2. Develop Develop a 1- to 2-page action plan to improve on the collaboration or teamwork skill you identified in Step 1. Your action plan should include at least two activities with descriptions of the activities, resource citations and/or links, and how each activity will help you improve the targeted skill. You may include readings, videos, trainings, practice exercises, or other professional development activities.

Step 3. Prepare As a part of the interview process for the dream job, you are asked to introduce yourself in a video. Prepare for your interview by composing a script for the video introduction including these elements:

Your name

The position for which you are applying

The qualifications you possess making you an ideal candidate

Your knowledge of the collaboration and teamwork skills necessary to succeed in the position

A recent activity you completed demonstrating your emphasis on continuous improvement of collaboration and teamwork skills

A statement thanking the employer for considering you for the position.

Step 4. Submit In a single Word document, submit your introduction (Step 1), action plan (Step 2), and script (Step 3) with APA-formatted title and reference pages.
