In this paper, I aim to discuss problem-solving and early learning by incorporating insights from the reading "Collaboration at a Microscale: Cultural Differences in Family Interactions" by Dayton, Aceves-Azuara, and Rogoff (2022). In addition, I will incorporate insights from diverse voices represented in the videos by Patricia Eno Falope (2024) and Junehui Ahn (2024) to critically inform how we think about working with young children and families. Reflecting on areas of early learning institutions in Ontario, three areas that require improvement to better support children's problem-solving skills and overall development are assessments used, teaching approaches utilized and learning environments and resources utilized.
