In this project, you have to perform a statistical study on a real case that you will design, conduct and analyze. Think about a question that interests you for which you could collect data.

Here are some important guidelines:

1. You can choose any topic that interests you.

2. You must choose a population with which you can obtain a representative sample. (Ex. Universit de Moncton students, Moncton citizens, ...)

3. Use an appropriate sample size.

4. Perform the test on the subject under study using statistical inference (confidence intervals and / or hypothesis tests)

5. All assumptions should be clearly stated

6. Collecting data is probably the trickiest part of the study. It takes a lot of effort to collect reliable data. It can be done by different methods (eg survey, supermarket visits, interviews with friends, family, colleagues, etc.).

7. Organize your data in an Excel spreadsheet

8. The report should not exceed 5 pages and should include:

a) Title page with names and identification numbers

b) Summary

c) Introduction (1 paragraph, maximum page)

d) Data collection: Identify the population. Clearly explain how you selected your sample and what procedure you followed for data collection. You can include in your report links to survey sites, photos, etc.

e) Data analysis: In this part, you must analyze the data collected using the graphical tools seen in the course.

f) Statistical tests: In this part, you perform the appropriate statistical tests and announce the conclusions.

g) Conclusion (maximum page)

h) References: all the references you cited in the report should be included here (books, articles, websites,)

i) Appendices: You can include here all the data collected
