In this section, the term $$objective$$ is used interchangeably with the term $$goals$.$ If we had time, we would differentiate between them, because there is a difference. However, for the purpose of this exercise, consider them to have the same purpose. Using your information resources about your chosen organization, you will identify and evaluate its strategic objectives $($goals$).$ The keyword here is $$strategic$$ objectives. There are three different types of objectives. You want to identify the strategic objectives only. You are looking to identify a minimum of two strategic objectives of your organization. Now it's time to evaluate them.

You want to analyze the strategic objectives by breaking them down into component parts using a framework like the SMART model. Guess where you can find information on this topic. You are correct!!! Use the Unit $1$ and $2($M$1)$ reading resources. Use them, along with library resources to learn about the topic of organizational objectives $($goals$),$ and as research resources to inform your writing. After breaking the strategic objectives down using the SMART model, make judgements about each objective. Is it structured properly? What$$s missing, if anything. What did they do right in constructing the objectives? What can be better? What shouldn$$t change? In the end, you want to give reasoning for all of your thoughts, ideas, statements and opinions, and be sure to back them up with research.
