In this week's discussion you will be looking at the self-driving cars (remember that Google has created and is testing). Within the last year, we've read reports of the cars causing at least one fatality in Arizona. Who is at fault - the pedestrian, the guide behind the wheel, the car maker? This issue fits in to business law as part of Chapter 8: Negligence, Strict Liability, and Product Liability.

Take a look at question 2 at the back of the chapter: Self-driving cars are no longer science fiction. These vehicles are programmed to use lasers, sensors, software, and maps to drive themselves. A handful of states have passed laws allowing driver-less technology on the road. But what happens when a driver-less car harms someone? Who should be at fault? The passenger? The programmer? The manufacturer? You will need to answer the question in at least 3 complete paragraphs, explain who would be at fault and why and state the law that you would apply.
