Sam lives close but has to drop off his 2 children to a school that doesn't open until 8:45 so he has trouble making it to the office by 9. However, Aiko thinks Sam is late because he doesn't care enough about the job and is not respectful of her and his fellow workers. The office has many other people who are expected to come to work by 9, all managed by Aiko. Aiko, as a manager has a longer work-day and often has weekend interactions with her superiors. The rest of the staff is expected to work 9-5 but may stay later occasionally. Aiko has tried to find a way to drop his children off earlier without success.
