Job Description

Responsibilities:

The Associate Director assists students and student organizations in scheduling and implementing programs in the Pan-Asian American Community House (PAACH) and in other University spaces. The Associate Director provides support and advocacy on behalf of Asian American and Pacific Islander students and student organizations as well as other individual students and organizations interested in using the services of the center. The Associate Director works with the Director to nurture cross-campus collaborations and other student/community outreach programs. The Associate Director is responsible for the planning, implementation and effectiveness of the Center's programming efforts. The Associate Director must have the ability to work a flexible schedule which will typically include some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree and 2 years to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A Master's Degree is preferred. Excellent communications skills both one-on-one and in a group setting. Ability to give and receive feedback and an ability to encourage and coach others. Experience in student leadership development and teamwork training. Proven and effective project management skills and keen appreciation and sensitivity for the special needs of all types of students. Demonstrated ability to work well with students, alumni, faculty, staff and administrators. Ability to work both autonomously and in a team based environment. Excellent organization, communication, and analytic skills. A solid appreciation for and commitment to the mission and goals of PAACH, and a willingness to contribute creatively to the growth of the office.
