The problem of buying and selling newspapers. A newsstand buys newspapers at 30TL each and sells them for 50TL each. At the end of the day, unsold newspapers are sold as scrap for 5 TL. Newspapers can be purchased in packs of 10. Thus the newsagent can buy 50,60 or 70 newspapers. Daily demand type is defined as high, medium and low as 0.45,0.30 and 0.25. Newspaper demand according to these demand types is given in the table below. Calculate the daily profit amount and decide how many newspapers the newsstand should buy optimally with 100 days of simulation.
Tips: create three worksheets and on each sheet have 50,60 and 70 newspapers that you have purchased. After simulation results you will decide which purchasing quantity is feasible.
