Human resource (HR) Analytics is a data-driven method of improving decisions that impact HR functions. Deploying data relevant to HR strategies facilitates HR leaders to recognise successful practices, as well as the weak areas need development. Your organisation (any organisation of your choice), in which (assume) you are a Senior HR consultant, requires you to collaborate with the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) or the IT team of your organisation, to transform the existing HR system into an HR analytics- enabled system.

Deploying relevant HR frameworks, models and theories, you are required to:

1. Provide a brief overview of the HR Climate (philosophies, policies, practices, culture etc), which is currently prevalent within your chosen organisation.

2. Critically evaluate the HR challenges that the organisation faces in terms of HR Planning, Recruitment, Selection, Performance Appraisal, Reward Management, Change Management, Learning and Development, and Employee Welfare.

3. In collaboration with the CDO or the IT team of your organisation, you are required to design an implementation plan to overcome the HR challenges discussed above, with HR analytics and advanced technology your company can afford to invest in. Prominent emphasis is to be given to the restructuring of the Learning and Development practices using advanced technology. Critically reflect on the best practices in relevant industries/business sectors when recommending solutions.

General guidelines:

• Relevant HR theories, models and frameworks must be applied in the evaluation of current practices, critical analysis of the HR challenges and recommendations.
• Your analysis must be grounded in appropriate academic literature and must provide clear evidence of independent critical evaluation.
• All arguments must be justified with evidence gained from reading.
• Sound academic language will be advantageous in gaining more marks.
