Individual Community Services Learning Project: Community Services Learning (CSL) is a mutually beneficial learning program, which allows students to engage with the community (industry, business, or any local community organization). The classroom learning is enriched by knowledge gained from the community. Each group (in a group of three students) should choose a topic that provides an opportunity for you to gain a deeper understanding of a topic in logistics management. You are free to choose any topic of your choice for assessing the social and/or economic consequences of a managerial decision related to logistics management. However, you are supposed to collect real data and interact (interview or survey) with at least one person from the community (industry, business, or any local community organization) member about his/her views of the social and/or economic impact related to the project topic.

Outline:

1. Objectives of the CSL project 2. Source of data and data collection Methodology 3. Analysis of Results and Discussion (how you suggest to address the logistics management problem of the organization) 4. Conclusions (what are the economic/social benefits of your suggested solution)

The project work (about 10 pages or 5000 words) should include analysis of some real data that will reconcile logistics management needs with the continuously changing economic/social demands placed upon the businesses. Graphs and list of references required.
