Discussion overview An important part of statistics is taking samples and discussing the results in a meaningful way. In this discussion board, you are going to take a small survey from friends and/or family and analyze the results to better understand the statistical process. Initial Post In your initial post, ask five people what their favorite color and their favorite number is. You may include yourself and your children. Share your results with your classmates and answer the following questions. Make sure to explain your reasoning in each of the responses. 1. Define each variable as either quantitative or qualitative. 2. Did you find a mode for the favorite color or number? 3. Find the mean of the favorite numbers. What does your answer represent? Is it meaningful? 4. What type of chart do you believe would be meaningful to help illustrate favorite colors
