How does the aspect ratio / format contribute these films: The wide screen makes Raising Arizona feel like a movie drama, even though it is a mostly a comedy. How does the aspect ratio / format contribute to why you like these films: Wide screen makes Fargo it feel like a movie drama and the wide screen gives it expanse. It seems like all of the brother's films are in this aspect ratio. Even their latest film The Ballad of Buster Scruggs - streamed by Netflix - was in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and was shot mostly on a 27mm lens
