This week, you will develop a database for a fictitious small school for its management of student records. You will also be required to write SQL statements to answer a few questions. Your instructor is the product owner. Post questions for approval before making any assumptions.
The business description is outlined in Section 8.1 of your textbook. Your tasks include the following:
Write business rules based on the given business description in an MS Word file named Item1.
Draw a logical ERD that follows the business rules. Save the drawing in a jpg, png, docx, or pdf file. Name the file Item2.
Map the logical ERD to relations by using the relational schema format. An example of a relation in relational schema format is:
Student (Studentld, FirstName, LastName, MiddleInitial, AdvisorId)
Use bold to indicate PK and italic to indicate FK. Use both bold and italic to indicate a field that is both PK and FK.
Save the relational schema in an MS Word file named Item3.
4. Complete physical design by writing T-SQL code to generate the database and tables. Save the sql file with sql file extension and named Item4.sql. This file must include all code to create the database with schema and tables in just one click to run. It must include the drop database line as shown in the book.
5. Answer all six questions outlined in Section 8.8 of your textbook. Save all six sql statement in one sql file with the name of Item5.sql.
6. Put all above five files (do not combine files) in a zipped folder titled CaseStudy and upload to the appropriate Dropbox folder.
