Instructions
You will develop a supervision plan from start to finish for a fictitious supervisee (Registered Behavior Technician [RBT]) accumulating fieldwork hours following recommended guidelines from the BACBLinks to an external site.. Several assignments will be completed throughout the semester. For the second submission you will complete Task 3 (evaluating the effects of supervision), and Task 4 (incorporating ethics and professional development into supervision).
Task 3 - Evaluating the Effects of Supervision
Ineffective supervision leads to poor skill acquisition and generalization, unprepared and ineffective BCBAs and failure to meet ethical obligations to clients. Therefore, effective supervision is the cornerstone of effective BCBAs. The Behavior Analyst Certification Board Professional Code of Conduct 5.07 discusses the important of evaluating effects of your supervision. In compliance with this code students will create, in writing, a plan of action on how they will evaluate their own supervision. The paper must include:
- Identify 2-3 tactics to assess their supervision (e.g., monitor supervisee progress, get direct feedback, and/or solicitation of trusted colleagues for feedback).
- Once tactics are identified in point a) list one strategy that will be used to reach each of the identified tactics from point a) (e.g., monitoring supervisee progress: social validity measures).
- Create a Supervision Monitoring and Evaluation Feedback Form that can be used by supervisees to evaluate you as their supervisor.
