Instructions You will need to make an appointment to interview a manager from a local business in your area. After the interview, type the answers you received during the interview and submit them. You will also respond to the reflection questions using the information you gained from this course as well as the interview with the manager. Some of these questions can be answered with a yes or no, however, please ask the manager to explain or expound on that kind of answer so you can get a better understanding of their experience. Your written answers should be more than just "yes" or "no." The reflection questions are for you to personally respond to. You won't ask the manager these questions. Be sure to incorporate the terms and concepts found within the Module in your submission. You will need to submit one document with all parts. Interview Questions: 1. How long have you been a manager? 2. Did you choose to be a manager or were you selected to be a manager? 3. Was being a manager one of your goals? 4. Did you receive any formal education on how to be a manager? If so, what? 5. Did you receive any work-related training on how to be a manager? How long was it? 6. What functions do you perform most as a manager? 7. What skills do you feel are most important to be an effective manager? 8. What is the hardest part about being a manager? Reflection Questions: 1. What was the biggest insight that you gained from your conversation with the manager ? 2. Did any of the responses to the questions surprise you? Which one(s) and why? If not, why? 3. What are some of the concepts from this course that you plan to apply to your work life either as a manager or to help you move into a managerial position?
