Purpose:
Interviews are the primary screening tool in the hiring process. To conduct an effective interview, you must be organized and have a template of questions tailored to the company and position. Interview questions must be linked to the job analysis, job description and employment branding processes. In making an organizational culture, companies need to identify what is important to them (sometimes through vision or values statements) and to interview not only for job skills but also for organizational fit. Instructions:
Imagine that you need to hire an entry-level customer service representative. You will be provided with an example of a customer services representative job advertisement/posting.
2. Based on the interview guides we reviewed in class, create the interview guide for your assigned posting. Your interview guide must include the following:
a. Determine three competencies you will use to create questions for your interview guide and why you chose them.
b. Determine the order of importance; where one is most important and three is not as important
c. Create two (2) behavioural interview questions per competency. Written in the appropriate way for behavioural interview questions.
d. Create one situational interview questions per competency. Written in the appropriate way for situational interview questions.
e. Create two organizational fit questions.
