In this module you learn about conflict resolution in various contexts and the challenges associated with each. Your ability to quickly recognize context and potential challenges will strengthen your ability to appropriately handle negotiations and resolve conflicts.

Purpose

The purpose of this assignment is to:

• Practice recognizing information about the different contexts in which negotiation can occur.
• Demonstrate understanding by adding experiential details or explanations to basic course content about contextual negotiations.
• Explain the challenges of doing business with family and close friends.
• Evaluate the options for third party involvement in resolving conflict in a family.

Tasks

1. Using your personal experiences, describe the challenges of doing business and negotiating with family or close friend. (15 points)
2. Provide at least four suggestions for addressing the challenges that you identified above. (20 points)
3. Compare and contrast the advantages (15 points) and disadvantages (15 points) of the options for third party involvement in resolving conict in a family business.
4. Comment on something that you find interesting in one of your classmates' posts, which you did not mention in your post. (5 points)
